🌟EXHIBITION OPEN TODAY🌟HELEN HITCHENS: THE WOMAN WITH THE POWER OF BIRDS

Helen Hitchens solo show is open today from 11am-6pm, drawing from work she made while undertaking a residency in New Orleans, USA ⭐

Here's Helen explaining the story behind the drawing being shared here:

"This drawing in the style of a Children's Book Illustration is
hand drawn A4 graphic novel art showing the main character, a mysterious travelling woman with her cat. The story unfolds as she returns to find her house filthy from the flood water that has now subsided. Our heroine has grey hair and some days she feels as frail as a bundle of dry twigs, but her powers are sharper than ever. She has returned to her home in New Orleans after a hurricane evacuation and finds her property soggy and overgrown. And so long has passed since she went away that there is confusion about who owns her home... she and Simon have to journey through the spooky graveyard in the dead of night to ask the advice of the widow Armstrong whose powers are even greater than The Woman With The Power Of Birds"

Come see us 💫
