Contemporary visual artist, Shirin Neshat, belongs to the beautiful land of Iran. Born in Qazin on 26th March, 1957, Neshat played a vital role in the Iranian Revolution of 1979. Before that she completed her education from the University of California, Berkeley, USA. This phenomenal artist is mostly known for her work in photography, video and film.
Shirin Neshat’s works are exhibited worldwide. Among many others, some of her pieces have been a part of the collections of The state Gallery in London, the Museum of Modern Art in NY and the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis. The artist currently resides and practices in New York.
