"From Parts Unknown" Opening Reception Saturday January 28th 6-8 PM
"From Parts Unknown" features works by Daniel Caspera, Marc Connor, and Andy Aaron. Seemingly from another time or place, these artists' artworks are truly unique to themselves through narrative or craft. Daniel Caspera's paintings blend the aspects of surrealism, cartoon graphics and artwork sourced from an unidentifiable time. Marc Connor's plein aire landscapes of upstate New York develop a hazy biography of place—the many layers of oil paint push three dimensions, as if they were painted on torn pieces of earth. Andy Aaron's adding machines made from antique parts and digital calculators are functional sculpture with an efficient, steam-punk beauty. While divergent in style, the commonality between these three artists is the quality of mystery in their works. I hope that you can join us to celebrate the opening of this exhibition Saturday, January 28th from 6-8 PM. Exhibition continues through February 25th 2012. Hours by chance and appointment Tuesday- Saturday 12-6 PM
