if you are looking for something unique and life affirming for the Holiday, both Museum of Death locations will be open regular business hours this Monday the 20th: 11-8PM for Hollywood, 10-6PM in New Orleans.

Our hearts and thoughts go out to anyone currently affected by the recent fires out here in CA- hopefully this break in the winds will give our firefighters a chance to get on top of things- Much love and respect to those on the front lines. With that said, the Museum Of Death is open regular business hours (11-8PM) all of this weekend, and for the foreseeable future.

The Museum Of Death will be Open on Tuesday Dec 24th (XMas Eve) but plan on closing early, so plan you arrival accordingly.
We will be CLOSED on Wed 25th, but will reopen regular business hours on Thursday the 26th!

LABOR DAY 2024! Monday September 2nd- The Museum Of Death will be open regular business hours 11 Am until 8 PM. No advance or online ticket sales- just show up and purchase your ticket upon arrival and your tour begins immediately. Squeeze in some life affirmation with us before the Holiday weekend is over!

EASTER WEEKEND 2024! Our Hollywood location will be Open Friday the 29th, Saturday the 30th, Sunday the 31st, and Monday April 1st- from 11 Am until 8PM Every Day! We do not take advance Reservations, nor do we do online sales- Just come in and purchase your tickets at our front counter!

Our Story

Founded in 1995 by JD Healy and Cathee Shultz the Museum of Death is the world’s only museum dedicated entirely to the subject of death. The museum houses hundreds of artifacts, everything from original artwork from serial killers, funeral ephemera, crime scene photos, war items, shrunken heads, a collection of human and animal skulls, items from the Manson family, a complete recreation of the Heaven’s Gate mass su***de crime scene, and much more! Admission is $17 PER BODY. The original Museum of Death is located in Hollywood, CA and our second museum is located in New Orleans, LA. We are in no way affiliated with the Scientology building "Psychiatry: The Industry Of Death". There is only ONE true Museum Of Death!!!
