EAA was founded in 1953 by Paul and Audrey Poberezny and a group of their friends in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who were interested in building their own airplanes. Through the decades, the organization expanded its mission to include antiques, classics, warbirds, aerobatic aircraft, ultralights, helicopters and contemporary manufactured aircraft.

Beech 18? Not this time. This is the SAI KZ IV, a rare Danish design built as a WWII air ambulance, with only two ever produced.

Today this particular aircraft is part of Danmarks Flymuseum, captured here during its appearance at the 2025 Hahnweide Oldtimer Fliegertreffen fly in.

Join us next Saturday, October 17, at the EAA Aviation Museum when we welcome former F-14 pilot Cmdr. Meagan Flannigan who will lead a discussion and a Q&A session about the F-14 Tomcat, an aircraft that became widely popular after being featured in movies such as Top Gun.

This presentation will follow the conclusion of ScaleVenture in the EAA Aviation Museum and will be hosted in the EAA Education Center at 4 p.m.

If arriving after 4 p.m. for the Speaker Series presentation, admission is free for EAA members and just $5 for nonmembers. If you plan to arrive prior to 4 p.m. to enjoy ScaleVenture activities, regular museum admission prices apply.
