EAA was founded in 1953 by Paul and Audrey Poberezny and a group of their friends in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who were interested in building their own airplanes. Through the decades, the organization expanded its mission to include antiques, classics, warbirds, aerobatic aircraft, ultralights, helicopters and contemporary manufactured aircraft.

Props to jets, Moths to Sabres, and much more! In the May/June 2026 issue of Warbirds we learn about Bob Laidlaw and his incredible aviation career.

Bob is a WWII combat pilot who later founded a major aerospace defense company in Mojave, California. But that is just the tip of the iceberg.

🚨Celebrity Sighting🚨
This green machine would definitely stand out on the red carpet! Say hello to Colin Doyle’s Fisher Celebrity biplane, a homebuilt type on the FAA aircraft registry only 46 times. With a fuel capacity of 13 gallons and a cruise speed of 80 mph, it took Colin roughly five hours to get from Minnesota to Oshkosh for AirVenture 2025.

You can learn more about Colin's journey restoring this Fisher Celebrity in the June edition of Sport Aviation. ➡️http://discover.eaa.org/tb5I50Z5jXI
