Dear Fellows,
The last two years have been challenging on so many fronts, with the recent deadly violence being committed with weapons that should only be use by skilled individuals and on the field of battle.
As a Veteran I was trained on the use of these lethal weapons and have a great respect for their power. The proliferation of weapons of war to the uneducated and mentally challenged is a cry for more dialogue.
We witnessed the not so kind withdrawal of our troops from Afghanistan with the loss of over a dozen of our brave troops as well as the injuries of many others when an explosive device detonated near the airfield.
As the evacuation moved forward, Americans and the world watched and prayed for the safety of our service people and for the allies who served along side them.
Now we must come together and commemorate the service of all our troops-- as for this Memorial Day its our duty to reflect on the women and men who volunteered to serve, left our shores, but never returned.
We are a grateful nation for all who sacrificed everything for our democracy. We must never forget.
