Sharing something very close to my heart! ❤️

Last year, Full Special Studio approached me to collaborate on what was supposed to be a single risograph print. That one print snowballed into a mammoth project that ended with me writing a children’s book and creating over 45 mixed-media artworks for it!

As Full Special Studio wraps up the insanely complicated printing of this limited-edition artist book, I’m finally sharing a little about the project. Neither of us fully understood the complexity of what we were getting ourselves into when we started 😂

I couldn’t have asked for a more supportive print studio, and I still can’t believe they actually let me do this in the first place!

Here’s hoping we'll be holding a physical copy of this beast before the year is out! 🤞❤️

So grateful for a great opening this Tuesday!

It was one of those evenings where you’re so caught up in good conversations and seeing familiar and new faces that you realize, much too late, that you’ve taken no photographs. 😅 I had to scrounge around for these!

Thank you to EVERYONE who came, supported, chatted, looked, asked questions, and made the evening so special. And a huge thank you to the wonderful team at Mussawir Gallery for making it all happen.

Until the next one! ❤️

I’ve had my work up at Avid Learning Middle East for the last few months alongside an awesome lineup of artists (shoutout to Kenneth Sagar and Shahzad Hassan Ghazi). I was pretty bummed to miss the opening, but I’m so glad the wonderful team at Avid is hosting a closing so I can finally be there!

If you’re in DXB this Thursday, I hope to catch you at the finissage! ✨

Excited to share that I’m part of the ZairaZakaStudio Residency for Printmaking! ✨

I’ll soon be spending a week in Pakistan, making intaglio prints and finding my way back to the press after more than a decade away. It feels a little surreal to be returning to a process I once spent so much time with, and I can’t wait to get my hands dirty again.

I’m incredibly grateful to the studio for going so far out of its way to accommodate me and for somehow managing to provide almost everything I’ve asked for.

The residency itself is fantastic, but the people make it even better. The selection of residents has been spot on, and I’m delighted to be sharing the space with some of my favorite artists and humans!

MASSIVE thank you to Zaira Zaka - you are 👑❤️

I finally said bye to most of my hair ✂️

And I’m disproportionately excited because it means I finally have a giant bundle of hair to work with. I've wanted to use my own hair in a project for years, and now I actually can.

BUT, we’ll have to wait. I'm currently running from one deadline to the next and barely keeping up as it is. So for now, the hair goes into storage while I tackle the mountain of work already in my studio.

Trying to find words for an experience that left my heart completely full and my language lagging behind.

Thank you, MacDowell, for six unforgettable weeks: my studio Firth, new and beautiful friendships, mind blowing food, two holidays and my birthday, all held in spectacular fashion.

You went far beyond anything I imagined you would—or could ever be.

Grateful beyond measure.

You will always have my 💛

Shout out to .composer for their superior photography skills above.
