Lora Lavin Art

Lora Lavin Art This page is dedicated to showcasing the art of Lora Lavin and connecting with the people who have collected her work over the years.

If you have any of Lora's paintings hanging in your home we would love to hear from you! Lora Lavin started painting as a hobby and it quickly turned into a passion. Her subjects include figures, landscapes, and still lifes painted in modern impressionistic and abstract styles. Her primary mediums are oil and acrylic. Her work is included in private collections around the world and has won numerou

s awards. For her, the process is as important as the product, so she works directly from the subject whether on location or in the studio. She especially enjoys learning and sharing while working in groups of other artists. She is a member of the Community Arts Center of Wallingford, Pennsylvania and served on its board of directors. She was founding president of Swarthmore Friends of the Arts and belongs to the Philadelphia/Tristate Area Artists Equity.

Hi friends,
This is Lora's daughter Jen, and I wanted to share a painting of my Mom's that has inspired me. I was very young when she completed this painting and I loved it from the first time I saw it. I was drawn in by the calm presense of the model and the warm colors that wrap around her. It is my favorite painting to this day, and hangs in a place of honor in my house.
If you have one (or more) of my mom's paintings, we would love to hear from you and maybe even get a picture!
