It's looking more like a mom & pop gallery everyday! You may have heard, ‘Noel Noir’ is our last show at 5417 Butler St. We are taking time off for our little fam starting in January but there's still some new things we're working on- Growing our creative services brand, w/ the industry best In all things luxury, VCG delivered this beautiful AP 80’s edition of ‘A Toast’ to a home in Mt. Washington. (We are big fans of Giancarlo). We are also offering our 360 Tours for the true collectors out there. 3 years ago on a whim and random opportunity, we started a functional and constantly revolving (and evolving concept) art gallery from nothing ($200 and a credit card, and a tip from ) with the basic premise to provide immediate opportunities for artists who were tired of Covid closures, the zombie scene, and tired of waiting around for responses from pretentious galleries. We came from relatively nothing, have no trust funds, no investors, no huge settlement, no rich family members, no donors, no institutional endorsements, and most importantly, we never took a salary, and we don’t own the building. (But we did sell a f**k ton of art). Every show theme was carefully chosen and woven seamlessly together, armed with a van, a storage unit, and ... 😵💫 maybe someday we will release a blooper reel of show ideas that didn’t work. 🫣 (Who wouldn’t want to see a show called “F**KED UP 2: Mixed Nuts”?) 🤓
In the end we proved that there can be some sort of alternative and sustainable model for storefront art galleries (cue the Main Street Harmonica Ballad) where you don't have to be super rich to buy a piece of great art.
For anyone who knew the difference and to the loyal customers who trusted us putting nails in their walls- thank you. We hope to see you this month and holiday party on Sat. Dec. 16th 🎅🎵
