The arts: Exploring, discovering, taking risks, making mistakes, having fun. At Hollins, studio art and art history are separate majors, but they have a lot in common. Both are housed in the Richard Wetherill Visual Arts Center, which students affectionately call the "art castle." Both benefit from the Eleanor D. Wilson Museum, which enriches the university's curricular offerings through internshi

ps, volunteer opportunities, and courses on museum management. And students who are majoring in one of the disciplines frequently take courses in the other to inform and deepen their study of the arts.
