Sometimes when a painting takes on a life of its own (and for me, it usually does but some are just more surprising than others) I have to sit with it for a while. I’m currently at the “is it done” phase of the process 😉 and also “is this a mini-series”?! ❤️‍🔥

We are open today (Friday) and Saturday 11-4 and Sunday 12-4. Come in and see the variety of work we have on display, including this piece by Jody Solow “Resting Place”, 20x30 Acrylic on Canvas. From the artist, “This painting started out as an abstract. But one day I was looking at it and was overcome with peace imagining my spirit sitting on the bottom of the ocean after I die, listening to the songs of whales, the clicking of shrimp and all the other sounds in the sea...and watching the lives of sea creatures play out around me. So I decided to paint my spirit sitting on the ocean floor...”
