We are saddened to hear about the passing of Alex Caldiero. We had the privilege of working with Alex on numerous projects. Here is a video of Alex performing one of his beloved pieces.

"Caldiero was a Senior Artist in Residence at Utah Valley University, where he spent his time not only lecturing on but bringing the humanities to his students, organizing important events like the Happenings in the Humanities, in which local artists came to speak to students about their craft. When he was not teaching, he was fully immersed in the many disciplines he mastered, including poetry, intermedia art and “sonosophy,” a term he coined that combines poetry, sound and philosophy." -SLUG Mag

In her artist talk, Stephanie Leitch said, “I noticed while I was installing last week, the changes in light coming through those skylights. I love this time of day because you have blue on this side and gold on this other side. I just wanted to point out some of the things that I notice when I go into spaces.”

“I do site-specific installation, usually on a large scale. I was invited to do this show about a year and a half ago, and when I saw the images of the interior space I was like, ‘I love this space, it’s gorgeous, it’s amazing, it’s historic.’ I responded to the space and the symmetry of it.”
