New exhibits, a new mural, and new stories about the cultures shaping Texas. The ITC is currently closed and in transition to a temporary facility at 111 W. We anticipate opening in early 2026 at that location. Behind the scenes, our team is working on preserving artifacts, designing exhibits, preparing digital and educational materials and searching for community outreach opportunities. Keep watc

Training day. The ITC docents and team members gathered for class this morning, getting all the details on the upcoming Puro Conjunto exhibit, opening June 11. ITC head curator Bianca Alvarez outlined the exhibit sections and content, from the European and Mexican musical traditions, to the instruments, to the great musicians who defined conjunto, and to the places that have kept the tradition alive.
