Had a great time photographing Angel City FC this week. I love capturing the athleticism and drama in professional sports. Women's soccer is fantastic. Angel City has a lot of talented players including several USWNT players. Thank you to the Angel City FC media team. They were super organized and very helpful.
I brought three Canon bodies and multiple lenses to the game. Shooting professional sports can be challenging because the athletes are so fast. It can be hard to put down a large lens and pick up a medium or wide angle lens when the players are sprinting at you full speed.
Here I am holding the Canon R5Mark2 and the RF 400 f/2.8. I also brought a 70-200 and a 24-70.

Alyssa Thompson of Angel City FC sprints into the 18 in the match against Racing Louisville on 5/24.
If you don't know, Alyssa was the youngest ever draft pick in the NWSL. She has also played for the U.S. at both the under-20 and Senior National Team. Her younger sister Gisele also plays for Angel City FC and recently the two had the first goal and assist by sisters in the NWSL, pretty cool! 😎
