Ladies and Gentlemen, SHUMUN XVIII is tomorrow morning and we can hardly contain our excitement at seeing all of you bright and early tomorrow morning!

Today, the last day of our countdown is very special. Liza Bell has done an amazing job of leading us through this past year, dedicating countless hours to SHUMUN and taking every challenge with grace and perseverance. SHUMUN XVIII is so lucky to have her on our team!

Liza Bell is a senior at Seton Hall University and will be serving as Secretary-General for SHUMUN XVIII. Liza studies Diplomacy & International Relations and Economics and minors in Art History and Political Science. She has been involved in Model UN since her first year of high school and has loved every moment of it. Liza has staffed numerous conferences, both in the United States and Canada. Recently, Liza has interned at the UN Mission of Honduras and the Institute of International Education, while also working for the Model UN resource website, Best Delegate. When not doing MUN-related things, Liza loves to go see Broadway shows and visit museums. She hopes everyone enjoys their experience at SHUMUN XVIII and strives to motivate students to make an impact in their communities from their involvement.

SHUMUN XVIII is TWO DAYS away!

As we work hard to make sure that everything comes together for you, we would like to take a moment to appreciate all the hard work that our DG Jenna Leis has put into this conference this past year.

Jenna is a Junior, Diplomacy and International Relations major at Seton Hall and will be serving as the Director General. She is from Long Island where she has been attending and staffing conferences since her freshman year of high school. Once at Seton Hall she continued in the school's Model United Nations team, SHUNA and has been a part of staffing SHUMUN in previous years. In addition, she has had the privilege of staffing Global Classrooms International Conference for the last two years. In her free time she is the coffee house chair for the Seton Hall Student Activities Board, where she works to bring fun events to the students of the school. In her free time she likes to take naps and watch Netflix.

Four days and counting until SHUMUN XVIII! Today we are pleased to introduce Noelle Sorich!!

Noelle is currently a Sophomore at Seton Hall studying Diplomacy and International Relations. She will be serving as the Under-Secretary General of Committees. Noelle has been involved with Model UN since her sophomore year in high school, and is currently a member of the Seton Hall delegation. She has staffed a conference in Canada, and in her Senior Year of High School helped to create a new High School student-run conference in Seattle with her friends. When she’s not doing Model UN, she likes to play her trumpet in the University’s Pep Band, watch unnecessary amounts of romantic comedy movies or Parks and Rec, or rap the entirety of "Hamilton - an AMERICAN Musical" soundtrack. She is absolutely ecstatic about SHUMUN XVIII and hopes to "Help make SHUMUN great again" along with the rest of the SHUMUN XVIII staff.

Nine days left in the countdown to SHUMUN XVIII! Today we are pleased to introduce Trevor West!

Trevor is a sophomore at Seton Hall University, double majoring in International Relations & Diplomacy and Modern Languages (with emphasis in Chinese and Japanese). He has studied Chinese for one year at Seton Hall and studied at Peking University in Beijing in the summer of 2016. Trevor enjoyed this experience because he was able to greatly improve his Chinese language abilities, visit many famous sites, meet lots of students, and experience China and Chinese culture firsthand. Trevor has studied Japanese for three years and plans to study abroad in Japan this summer. Trevor is a part of SHUNA, Seton Hall University’s United Nations Association, acting as the secretary this academic year. He has been involved with Model UN since the beginning of his freshman year at Seton Hall, and has learned quickly, earning an honorable mention at PUNC 2016. In addition to SHUNA, Trevor is involved with the Seton Hall Anime Club, Asian Student Association, and Honors Program Student Association. He is very much looking forward to helping to orchestrate SHUMUN XVIII, as he has seen first hand how Model UN can help individuals grow both intellectually and emotionally. As he continues to become a better delegate in future Model UN conferences he hopes to offer the same great experiences to delegates at SHUMUN XVIII.
