My painting, "Cloud Break," was part of the silent auction to help support The Luckiest Foundation in honor of the life of my dear friend, Deb McBride, and the scholarship of the same name. She passed away two years ago yesterday and we miss her terribly. I'm honored to be involved with the foundation and happy this piece could help in some small way while finding a beautiful home in our community. The inaugural Deborah McBride Scholarship of $10,000 is designed to promote students who are beginning to understand the impact of historical context in the shaping of our Nation with a passion for history, writing and education.
