A hero-sized adventure is coming to libraries across the St. Louis region! 🌟

Beginning Saturday, May 30, St. Louis Summer Hero Quest invites families to visit 15 participating St. Louis Public Library and St. Louis County Library branches to discover larger-than-life storybook heroes inspired by the Ordinary People Change the World series by Brad Meltzer and Chris Eliopoulos.

Visit at least six locations to earn a free Ordinary People Change the World book! 📚

‼️ Families can also take part in Nominate Your Hero, where kids can recognize someone in their life who shows kindness, courage or curiosity. Nominations will be accepted at participating branches or online from May 30 through July 31.

🏅 Three outstanding heroes will be recognized with a special award basket, including a Family Plus Membership and a free Magic House field trip for a school of their choice.

This VIP experience includes a catered dinner, private playtime in the Museum, adult drinks and kiddie cocktails, live music, face-painting and more, all inspired by the carefree magic of summer in the 90s.

Every ticket helps fund our Access for All programs, bringing free educational experiences to children and families across our community.

Something ✨NEW✨ is coming to MADE for Kids… 👀
 
MADE Together is a collaborative maker series that brings adult makers and kid creators together in one creative space. 

Hosted at .stl, this drop-in program features expert makers from who share their craft through live demonstrations and invite kids to try it themselves through a hands-on activity designed just for them!

For our June program, featured artist Christian Xandersmith, St. Louis woodworker and educator, will share his craft through live demonstrations. Families can also create their own set of chopsticks to take home! ✨

NOW OPEN 🏖️ Sandcastle Beach!

The Magic House’s backyard has once again been transformed into a beachfront park!

Take a stroll along the boardwalk, search for seashells at the shell dig, relax under a colorful beach umbrella and watch world-champion sand sculptor Dan Belcher as he sculpts a gigantic sandcastle! ✨

This exhibit is open through July 5 and is included in Museum admission.

We’re sending a big thank you to Greenscape Gardens for their generous soil donation to our Sunshine Classroom!

Thanks to their support, and a recent refresh, this special space is ready to bloom once again. 🌿

We can’t wait to welcome visitors back when Sunshine Classroom reopens next week!
