Today marks the anniversary of the passage of the Women’s Armed Services Integration Act. Originally passed in 1948, this legislation gave women the opportunity to serve as permanent members of the Armed Forces. The Women in War Museum recognizes all of the women who have served during times of war both on the home front and internationally.
