First Friday ArtWalk Show Opening at Rumor Design Was Fantastic! Thanks to our Rumor Design staff for staying to bartend, prepare and create our appetizers, Ring in the Art Sales, and clean up from the Friday night crowd! Friends of Mary Beth and I were so supportive and came in all night long! We were happy to be celebrating in a beautiful showroom where many December shoppers will soon fly in for the holidays!

Well-It has been a while since my last post, But, I’m jumping back in the game as I have an extraordinary Honor to share with you!

Just Last week, the Steamboat Pilot and Today published its 2024 -2025 Best of the Boat Readers Choice Magazine. In it there are 191 categories & 13 different groups. My Name took second place in the Best of the Boat, Best Artist Category! I am truly honored and pleasantly surprised to be recognized again for my artwork in the community! In 2013 I was voted as Best of the Boat & felt so much love 💕

I want to THANK EVERYONE who voted for me & also to the Steamboat Pilot & Today for publishing this successful, popular magazine.

I am posting a couple of sections of new works I am currently creating-these are unfinished pieces, but looking good enough to share for a SNEAK PEEK!

These & other finished original works will be on display in December at Rumor Design & Re-Design ( #1 Best Interior Design Firm for Best of the Boat this year) in Steamboat!
I am collaborating with local artist Mary Beth Galer for the month of December! We will open the show during First Friday ArtWalk on Dec. 4th from 5-8 pm.
I will be hanging the show at Rumor Design alongside our incredible Marketing Wizard, MC Gatti! I work part time at Rumor with this amazing, dynamic team of Women who really know their business and of course, their DESIGN!

I will continue to post about the details of this upcoming show!

Living amongst nature’s beauty, artist Michelle Ideus paints and photographs the unique scenery in and around her home in Steamboat Springs, CO. She captures and shares her passion to change the ordinary.

Michelle’s portfolio includes original acrylic, mixed media paintings on canvas, creative art photography, giclee prints, fine art greeting cards and commission work.

Michelle’s gallery is the Steamboat Springs Center for Visual Arts where she is a member, along with the Steamboat Springs Arts Council. Her portfolio is available online at her website, ideusgallery.com. Michelle’s work can regularly be seen at One Steamboat Place, Colorado Group Realty Downtown Steamboat office, and by appointment at her artist studio.

Michelle Ideus received her B.F.A. in 1990 from Colorado State University, Fort Collins, CO. Michelle moved to Washington State in 1995, then returned to Colorado in 2002 to live in Steamboat Springs, CO. where she currently resides.
