We’re back at it! 26/27 school visits and field trips have started! 🔬✨

We kicked things off with the preschoolers at Rise and Shine, exploring UV light, glowing minerals, and fluorescent crayons.

We’re excited to welcome students back to Science Vortex and to bring hands-on STEAM learning into classrooms throughout the Verde Valley this school year! 💚

Program Cancellation at Science Vortex

Science Vortex Families,

Unfortunately, the strong rain yesterday caused a roof leak and flooding at Science Vortex. Because we need some time to clean up and make sure the space is ready for everyone, we will be cancelling:

Family Makerspace this evening (Thursday)
Little Learners STEAM tomorrow morning (Friday)

We apologize for the inconvenience! We’ll be busy getting everything cleaned up and plan to be back open and ready for our regular weekend hours on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM–1:00 PM.

Thank you for understanding, and we hope to see you this weekend!

Why did we choose the name Science Vortex? We were inspired by Sedona’s famous vortexes, but our name is rooted in science.

Vortices are found in tornadoes, galaxies, black holes, airplane wings, and even inside living cells. They’re powerful examples of motion, energy, and connection throughout our universe.

At Science Vortex, we believe curiosity works the same way: it pulls us in… and discovery spins outward!
