A new museum exhibit is surfacing at MarineLab Undersea Park! 🤿😎🔬

Our newest exhibit, Living & Working in the Sea: The Legacy of Ian Koblick, celebrates Ian Koblick’s remarkable history with underwater habitats, marine technology, and undersea exploration.

His work played a major role in bringing Jules’ Undersea Lab to Key Largo, helping make it one of the area’s most recognizable pieces of undersea history.

Join us for the exhibit opening, meet Ian Koblick, and learn more about his lasting impact on MarineLab, Jules’ Undersea Lab, and undersea innovation in the Florida Keys 🤩

The lagoon looked a little different Friday night 🌕🌀

We recently hosted a Floating Sound Bath with Lone Palm Yoga & Wellness, giving guests the chance to float under the full moon while surrounded by calming sound vibrations in the water.

From floats drifting through the lagoon to mats set up along the shoreline, it was such a peaceful way to experience the space after hours.

Events like this are such a fun way to experience the park in a completely different setting, and after this turnout… we may have to bring it back. Keep an eye out for future dates ✨

Last month, we welcomed divers and visitors to the lagoon for Vintage Dive Day, hosted alongside the History of Diving Museum and NAUI Worldwide 😎👏

Throughout the day, guests had the chance to see old-school diving gear in action, from classic double-hose regulators in the water to hard hat diving demonstrations with Trident Surface Supplied Diving, LLC and Brass Hat Diver.

It’s not every day you get to watch diving history come to life like this. Seeing the equipment, techniques, and technology that helped shape modern diving made for such a fun day in the lagoon.

Big thanks to everyone who joined us underwater and on shore for this one 🤿

Trash Derby recap 🗑️

Our team took part in this year’s Florida Keys Trash Derby by searching right where we are every day… the lagoon!

Our team spent the day diving and working through the area to remove debris that’s built up below the surface over time. From smaller pieces to heavier items, everything was collected and brought out piece by piece 💪😎

By the end of the cleanup, a total of 1,023 pounds of trash had been removed from the lagoon, including two transaxles totaling 700 pounds 😮
