The Lyme Art Association is a vibrant art center and gallery with major exhibitions throughout the year and a full schedule of educational programs. Throwback Thursday!

Featured here is artist William Chadwick, a longtime Elected Artist Member of Lyme Art Association who exhibited in Old Lyme from 1906–1962 at both the Lyme Art Association Gallery and Phoebe Griffin Noyes Library. The second image is Chadwick’s Portrait of Gregory Smith. Gregory Smith was elected fifth Lyme Art Association president 1934-1958.

It’s a wonderful glimpse into the artists and leaders who helped shape Lyme Art Association’s history. 🎨
