The Walla Walla Exchange Club is a unique segment of Walla Walla's existing and emerging leadership: dynamic and gifted people who serve their community in direct and tangible ways, and who are also honing their leadership skills and forming new friendships at the same time. Our club sponsors a variety of activities that support and draw attention to our central mission, which is the prevention of

child abuse in the Walla Walla Valley. The activities are designed to meet the needs of our community as well as to preserve and strengthen the principles that make our nation great. Mission of the Exchange Club

Memorial Day was never about a long weekend.

It started in the years after the Civil War, when towns across America gathered at gravesites to lay flowers and read names out loud. The point was simple. Don't let anyone disappear.

That's still the work today. Say the names. Tell the stories. Make sure the children in our communities know who they're walking past in the cemetery.

The Exchange Club has spent more than a century honoring service. Today we honor the ones who paid the highest price for it.

Today, the Exchange Club and representatives from Hayden Homes and STCU, were very happy to present the $10,000 Grand Prize from the 29th Annual Exchange Club Ducky Derby, presented by STCU! The winner, Ken Higgins, will be putting the proceeds towards college tuition! Way to go!

The 29th Annual Walla Walla Exchange Club Ducky Derby presented by STCU race was on May 16. It took quite a while for the 17,500 ducks to make their way to the collection point on Mill Creek. A huge thank you to all of our wonderful community donors, numerous supporters, and ticket buyers. Some of you bought a lot of tickets! And we are grateful! All of the net proceeds go towards youth program grants! We normally have about $100,000 in grant request and we’re able to award about 50,000 a year.

The race was in Mill Creek by WWCC. It was a lot of fun to see everybody cheering for “their “duck! The ducks eventually made it into the collection tube, where the winners are listed below. All the winners have been notified. Please thank all of the prize donors and supporters of the 2026 Ducky Derby!

Not too much and not too little. It’s just right. Yep. The water is just right for the thousands of yellow ducks to be launched into Millcreek at Walla Walla community college.

Come and enjoy the 29th annual Exchange Club Ducky Derby present by STCU May 16 at WWCC. Starts with a fun run at 9 am. Family fun festival at 10. And the race is on. Saturday at 9 AM May 16, the 29th annual Walla Walla Exchange Club ducky Darby presented by STCU starts with a bang. There will be a family fun run ‘race’ at 9AM then the family fun festival at 10 AM. The splashdown duck race occurs at noon and a sponsored by Mainline LLC. Since we got some rain, we are fairly certain that the ducks will be dumped into Millcreek. You don’t want to miss this! So get your ducky Darby tickets at Eastgate Safeway, PlazaSafeway, Blue Palm frozen yogurt. STCU Walla Walla, STCU College Place, Falkenbergs jewelers LNG Ranch, Supply or PPI Mart today!
