This is a rework of an older painting which I thought was never finished. By the same token, I reworked another painting and that didn’t turn out the way I had perceived . So you never know; a parallel to life. What’s important is to try and not give up.

I had worked on this painting a while ago but never had finished it. I think it’s done. What do you think? Time to move ...

There are times when I’m unsure if a piece is finally done. I look at it for days, sometimes months. I let it rest against the wall and sometimes even after years, I still don’t know the answer. It’s like everything else in life. It may even paralyze you from doing anything. Is it fear of failure or of the unknown? And then something happens and you see it.. a line, a dash of color or a shape. Whatever it is, it becomes clear and you find your footing. Or so you hope. Hope is what keeps you.
