Another Red River Bowie finished up and sent off. This one is 16” OAL with 5” handle. Twist Damascus on the blade and fittings all forged in house by me. Handle is fossilized walrus tusk. Thanks for looking!

Middle row, Middle knife is my Southwest Trail Bowie on display in the recently re-opened knife gallery in the Historic Arkansas Museum in Little Rock, AR. If your in Little Rock be sure and check out this new updated gallery it showcases some really cool knives and history of the Bowie knife and it’s maker James Black blacksmith from Washington, AR.

“”How Sweet It Is”

Thank you to for picturing my Bowie in this months issue. I think it’s pretty cool to have my Southwest Trail Bowie pictured with Jim Bowie who gave fame to such a knife and Bill Moran a founding member of the American Bladesmith Society. Myself and Jerry Fisk own the property where the Birth place of the Bowie all started in Washington, AR. James Black forged knives on the property as well for the Bowie’s and is credited for forging Bowie No.1
