Second half of Feb ‘26
- I love a cotton candy sunset
- Sweet Molly patiently waiting for me
- Still waiting on the new sofas & ottoman, but the new chairs arrived!
- The dining room will eventually have art hung
- Almost daily workouts preparing for hip revision surgery in 8 days!
- But also baking treats sometimes because balance is important lol
- Planning a color block art wall and this is the first piece
- Pasta on a cold winter’s day is perfection
- Part of the collection going on the bare dining room wall!
- One of the kids’ bathrooms.
- It snowed… A LOT
- New writing desk
- I ordered the loveliest, airy, swiss dot curtains for this space. TBA
- The river is partially frozen. Makes for a pretty scene on our walks
- Don’t you love golden hour?

First two weeks of February included new dining room drapes, a bit of snow, walls & mantle finished in the primary, pool table delivered, puppy cuteness, loud cheering for my team, sunshine & new faucet in the kitchen, and drapes hung in the breakfast room. Great start to the month!

Final Week of January…
1. Mill work and paint are nearly finished in the family room. Desperately want to get some art work and mirrors back on the walls.
2. Dining room paint and light is complete. Window treatments will be installed on Monday!
3. I’m really happy to see the family room beams trimmed and painted. Window treatments also being installed Monday.
4. Mill work and fireplace mantle are finished in the primary bedroom. Painters arrive Monday to begin finishing up the space.
5. Molly wants everyone to know it’s exhausting having so many workers in the house. She’s very happy to have a quiet couple of days to nap on her favorite sofa.

Week 2 of 2026.
Painting continued both on paper and on walls.
Wall moldings have started going up.
We saw quite a few blue skies.
Did a little baking.
Molly was a good “puppy” through it all.

There’s a lot of ugly, cruel things going on in the world. I’m not ignoring reality. These weekly posts are tiny bits of what brought me joy. I read a line somewhere that said: “Joy is a form of resistance”
It felt comforting. In a world lacking kindness and empathy, please take care of yourself. Maybe find some joy in your space. Share it if you’re feeling up to it.
