Yesterday was such a special day at the shop! I had the pleasure of a surprise visit from my college advisor, Dr. Z.

Many people don’t know that my journey into silversmithing really began with my degree in Geology. Studying the earth, minerals, and natural processes sparked a lifelong fascination with stones and the incredible beauty found in nature. What started as a curiosity eventually grew into a creative passion, leading me to incorporate natural gemstones and minerals into the jewelry I create today.

It’s funny how life comes full circle. The education and experiences that shaped my understanding of the natural world continue to inspire every piece I make. From selecting unique stones to appreciating their geological history, my background in geology is woven into the heart of my work.

Thank you for stopping by, Dr. Z! It was wonderful to catch up, share the space with you, and reflect on the journey that brought me here. You truly made my day!

Newest creations fresh off the bench ✨🌿

These two sterling silver rings feature stunning green Hubei Turquoise stones, each set in a different wide band style. One band has a hand-hammered finish, while the other showcases an organic texture created from recycled silver for a truly earthy, one-of-a-kind feel.

The photo also shows beautiful, one-of-a-kind ceramic works created by — I love how the earthy textures and tones of the ceramics pair so naturally with the jewelry. Both handmade ceramics and sterling silver pieces are available in the shop now with so many other local artisan creations!✨

We’re so excited to welcome some incredible new artists and makers into the shop located at 6511 Main Street in Westport NY!✨

Now featuring beautiful handmade macramé pieces including a stunning large wall hanging and lovely hanging planters — all thoughtfully crafted and perfect for bringing warmth and texture into your space.

We also now carry gorgeous resin art on glass, including unique wine glass sets that make the perfect gift! 🍷✨

And be sure to check out the breathtaking pressed flower wall art by Nicole VanBuren, owner of Vintage Reimagined in Port Henry, NY. Her collection includes delicate hanging floral pieces as well as a stunning large antique window artwork filled with preserved blooms. 🌸

Everything in the shop is locally handmade and created with so much love and intention. Don’t forget to explore the many other one-of-a-kind treasures available in store — including my original handcrafted silver jewelry pieces! 💍✨

I’m still buzzing from Saturday’s grand opening… wow. 💛 I truly can’t thank this community enough for the overwhelming support, encouragement, and love shown for The Finishing Stone. Seeing so many people come together to celebrate handmade art, craftsmanship, and local makers was incredibly special.

Featured here are two beautiful pieces currently available in the shop: a handmade amazonite sterling silver cuff crafted by me, pictured with this stunning fern spoon holder by 🌿✨

The studio/storefront will be open again this Friday from 10–5 PM at 6511 Main Street in Westport, NY. Come browse the space, discover incredible handmade work from local artisans, and say hello!

I’m truly overwhelmed with joy and gratitude after yesterday’s grand opening. Seeing so many friends, family, and members of this amazing community come out to support not only me, but all of the talented local artisans featured in the space, meant more than I can put into words. ❤️

Thank you for every kind word, purchase, share, hug, and moment of encouragement. Supporting handmade and local artists keeps creativity alive in our community, and I’m so grateful to be part of it.

The shop will be closed for Mother’s Day, but we’ll resume normal hours next week. Cheers, and thank you all again! ✨

A little silver fish, forever swimming 🐟✨

This custom wide band trout ring was hand forged from sterling silver and finished with hand-chiseled details, giving it texture and movement like sunlight dancing on water.

Made for a trout-loving lady with a wild heart, and crafted with love in the Adirondack Mountains 🌲
