For the members of AFSCME Local 3410, giving back to the community can look a lot of different ways – and some of them are a lot of fun! Earlier this summer, members of Local 3410 participated in the City of North Royalton’s annual Touch-A-Truck event where local kids can come and experience what large truck machinery looks and feels like! These events are popular and great ways for public service workers to connect directly with the communities that we serve. The City of North Royalton and several other Ohio cities often have free Touch-A-Truck events for kids in the area, be sure to look out for one near you!

A historic end to a historic week! We swore in our newly elected President Patrick Moran and Secretary-Treasurer Nicole Pollard today as our final act of convention business during the 47th AFSCME International Convention. There is no one more equipped for the huge shoes to fill as we keep building our union and the labor movement as whole and fight forward into a bright AFSCME future!

Day 4 is in the books and what a day it was! Today we dug in on how important our political power is, heard from several guest speakers, and elected Patrick Moran as our next AFSCME International President! A packed day in Chicago doing the business that keeps our union strong and fighting forward 💪💚✊

Day 3 of our AFSCME International Convention doing the work! We elected our next Secretary-Treasurer Nicole Pollard, debated the business of our union, listened to a panel with SEIU President April Verrett and AFT President Randi Weingarten and showed up for our AFSCME family at the Shedd Aquarium who are fighting for a fair contract! 📢 💪💚

Day 2 of AFSCME's 47th International Convention is a wrap, and what a day of celebrating good union trouble it was! We listened to Secretary-Treasurer McBride's keynote, heard from AFL-CIO President Liz Shuler and celebrated all of the newly unionized workers who have fought for their seat at the table since our last convention! 📣 💪 💚
