Wondering what’s going on the side of the VFW building in downtown Kuna? 🎨🖌
To celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States, the City of Kuna is working with muralist Julie Bloomfield, the Veterans of Foreign Wars SGT Devin Daniels Post 7019, and the Kuna Arts Commission to bring a mural to the VFW building on Main Street. The City of Kuna’s goal is to create a project that has longevity in the community and reflects the values of Kuna by uplifting and commemorating veterans and America’s special anniversary.
Meet the Artist: Julie Bloomfield ✨
Julie is an artist based in Eastern Idaho who has painted murals in various states including Arizona, Wyoming, and Idaho. Julie was drawn to the project because of the mural’s connection to the United States and the Fourth of July. She sees the project as a way to honor veterans who play a huge part in our history, and to remember their service for generations to come.

Our newest exhibits Two Artist Showcase - Opening Reception and Local History Exhibit: The Hubbards are open through July 3rd, stop by anytime Wednesday-Friday: 9AM-6PM and Saturday: 9AM-2PM for a visit or schedule a guided tour today! Our current history display has family heirlooms and letters for reading, a guessing box for items related to the Hubbard family's history, and plenty of photos for viewing. Admission is always free so make sure to visit us when you get a chance!

It was a lovely day to venture out to Initial Point and join the special ceremony commemorating the location that shaped land ownership and development across Idaho.

Mayor Stear and our Arts and History Curator were invited to a special ceremony, hosted by the Bureau of Land Management - Idaho , the Idaho State Historical Society , and the America250 in Idaho Task Force to celebrate America 250 and Governor Brad Little's proclamation officially naming today as Boise-Meridian Initial Point Celebration Day in Idaho.

The Kuna Arts & History Center had an amazing opening for our newest exhibits, Two Artist Showcase - Opening Reception and Local History Exhibit: The Hubbards last Friday! If you happened to miss it, don't worry the Center is open Wednesday-Friday: 9AM-6PM and Saturday: 9AM-2PM. Entrance is always free so schedule a tour or stop by and visit today!

This Friday! - The Kuna Arts & History Center's upcoming art exhibit, Two Artist Showcase - Opening Reception is having its opening reception! April 24th from 5PM-7PM with snacks and drinks available for visitors, this display will include the artworks of Ileana Cordova, a watercolor based in Boise, and Arabelle Forrey, an illustrative student artist. Make sure to pay us a visit and enjoy this new exhibit from local artists!

This Friday! - Our upcoming history display, Local History Exhibit: The Hubbards is having its opening reception. April 24th, 2026 from 5PM-7PM with snacks and drinks available for visitors, this display details the story of one of the founding families of Kuna, the namesake of the road, and the work they did to develop the area. Family photographs and heirlooms from the Kuna Historical Society’s collection will be on display to help visitors learn more about this fascinating family and their time spent in Kuna. Make sure to stop by!
