If you've been banned from South Africa by Home Affairs, you don't have to feel stuck. Here's how to start helping yourself:
1οΈβ£ IDENTIFY YOUR CODE
Check your passport stamp or Form 19:
β Code K = overstay ban (temporary)
β Code J = prohibited person (permanent)
2οΈβ£ GATHER YOUR DOCUMENTS
You'll need your passport, any Home Affairs letters, and a written explanation of what happened.
3οΈβ£ SUBMIT YOUR APPEAL
β Code K: Email [email protected] β act fast, you only have 10 days
β Code J: Apply to the Director-General of Home Affairs for rehabilitation
4οΈβ£ BE PATIENT & STAY PUT
Don't try to re-enter South Africa while your appeal is pending. Wait for your official Waiver Letter.
