Installation views from Bloom, a solo exhibition by Noritoshi Mitsuuchi, now on view at Volery Gallery during Art Dubai 2026 week.

Bringing together a new body of paintings, Bloom unfolds through fluid and dreamlike compositions where figures, imagined beings, and organic forms continuously emerge and dissolve. Through instinctive brushwork and emotionally charged imagery, Mitsuuchi constructs suspended worlds navigating memory, vulnerability, and states of becoming.

Installed across the gallery’s DIFC space, the exhibition invites visitors into an environment shaped by softness, emotional ambiguity, and quiet psychological tension. Familiar echoes of childhood, fantasy, and introspection appear throughout the works, resisting fixed narratives while creating a deeply immersive atmosphere.

Now on view through June 13, 2026.

We would be delighted to welcome you to the gallery throughout Art Dubai Week.

Preview list and viewing appointments available via link in bio.

Volery Gallery is pleased to present Bloom, a solo exhibition by Noritoshi Mitsuuchi, opening tomorrow during Art Dubai 2026 week.

Bringing together a new body of paintings, Bloom unfolds through fluid and dreamlike compositions where figures, organic forms, and imagined beings continuously emerge, dissolve, and transform. Drawing on motifs reminiscent of plant life and childhood memory, Mitsuuchi constructs suspended worlds shaped by emotional ambiguity, vulnerability, and introspection.

Born in Osaka in 1978, the artist has developed a distinctive visual language balancing instinctive gesture with psychological sensitivity. His paintings resist fixed narratives and stable identities, instead inhabiting a space between innocence and unease, tenderness and tension, memory and imagination.

Throughout the exhibition, familiar echoes of animals, spirits, and fictional beings appear not as illustrations, but as emotional traces and fragments of sensation. Through vibrant palettes and intuitive brushwork, Mitsuuchi creates works that feel at once intimate, fragile, and quietly unsettling.

Presented by Volery Gallery, Bloom reflects broader contemporary questions surrounding belonging, emotional perception, and states of becoming. The exhibition invites viewers into a suspended environment where uncertainty is not resolved, but allowed to exist.

On view from May 13 through June 13, 2026.

Private previews and viewing appointments available throughout Art Dubai Week.

Volery Gallery is proud to present Floating, a solo exhibition by Aaron Johnson.

Walking My Dog At The Arroyo, 2025
Acrylic on canvas
158 × 127 cm

Due to the current situation in Dubai, the exhibition has been postponed. A new opening date will be announced shortly.

Johnson’s paintings exist in a state of suspension, where figures emerge from luminous fields of color, hovering between presence and disappearance. Radiant orbs punctuate the surface like portals or centers of energy, anchoring compositions that remain fluid, intuitive, and alive.

Working directly on raw canvas, he allows pigment to move freely, guided by gravity and chance. The result is a body of work that feels both deeply personal and cosmically expansive.

This piece is part of a new series exploring nature spirits and the invisible forces that connect all forms of life.

Preview list now open.

Zhou Song
Boundaries, 2025
Oil on canvas
160 × 120 cm

A striking new composition where Zhou Song sharpens his language of tension and displacement. The figure dissolves into a dense, almost sculptural mass, pierced by directional forms that suggest both rupture and expansion.

Interior and exterior collapse into one another, creating a psychological landscape where boundaries are unstable, constantly shifting.

A powerful and highly resolved work, marking a confident evolution in the artist’s practice.

Yuyu Zhitong
Victoria’s Secret. (2025)
Oil on linen, 150 x 180 cm

Featured in “Serendipity,” the artist’s first solo presentation in Dubai. Zhitong’s large-scale oil paintings synthesize rationality and sensibility, utilizing a distinctive violet and ultramarine lexicon to deconstruct and rebuild the pictorial surface.

Serendipity marks the debut solo exhibition of Yuyu Zhitong in Dubai and the Middle East.

Developed through an intuitive yet highly disciplined approach to abstraction, the works unfold through cycles of construction and disruption, where gesture, rhythm, and color guide perception rather than narrative. Painting becomes a physical and temporal process that rewards time, attention, and proximity.

Installed across the gallery, the exhibition invites viewers to slow down, move through the space, and experience how meaning emerges through chance encounters and subtle shifts in perception.

Now on view at Volery Gallery.
We warmly invite you to visit the exhibition.
