“Every piece of work in the exhibition means a lot to me as it carries the message of the resurrection of life from the womb of death and the emergence of hope like the phoenix from the ashes, especially the piece titled (Al Qayoom) ‘The Sustainer After the Fire,’ which is the first work I thought to recreate after the original sculpture was burned.” I colored it a hot charcoal red and shaped it, like the other new works, based on my conviction of a relationship between construction, resilience, and steadfastness with metal, concrete, nails, and metal rods as a symbol of strength against fire and annihilation.”
Considered a pioneer of digital art and the first digital artist in the United Arab Emirates, Luqman pointed out the importance of artists, like everyone else, experiencing the trials of life in both its sweetness and bitterness, believing in the divine decree destined for them, and exploring the opportunities that arise from the challenges imposed by circumstances and surprises, especially those beyond their control.
