Located in Ras Al Khaimah’s Old Town, the museum is housed in a fort dating between 1809-1819. Built to defend against British attacks and former home to the Quwasim family it was later used as a police headquarters and jail

before becoming home to the museum in 1987

The exhibits provide an interesting insight into the history and traditions of the region, including historical, cultural and archaeological material. Opening Hours: Sat-Thurs 8am-6pm
Fri: 3-6pm

Children: 2 AED
Families: 15 AED
