Wie schlagen wir Wurzeln in einer Welt, die sich ständig verändert?
Die aus Brasilien stammende Künstlerin Daniela Brasil ( ), die seit 2010 in Graz lebt, beschäftigt sich in ihrer Arbeit mit Migration, Erinnerung und kolonialen Verflechtungen.
Mit ihrer Installation „Ver/Ent/Wurzelungen“ hat sie den Österreichischen Skulpturenpark in einen Heilgarten verwandelt - ein Ort der Ruhe, Begegnung und Reflexion. Im Mittelpunkt steht die Passiflora, deren Reise von Südamerika nach Österreich von Migration, Anpassung und neuen Formen des Verwurzelns erzählt.
Im Video spricht Daniela Brasil über die Ideen hinter ihrem Projekt, ihre persönliche Verbindung zum Thema und über die Migrant*innenpflanzen, die dieses einzigartige Kunst-Natur-Lebenslabor wachsen lassen. 🌿

Brazilian artist Daniela Brasil ( ), who has lived in Graz since 2010, explores themes of migration, memory, and colonial interconnections in her work.
With her installation “Ver/Ent/Wurzelungen,” she has transformed the Austrian Sculpture Park into a healing garden - a place of tranquility, encounter, and reflection. At the center is the passionflower, whose journey from South America to Austria tells a story of migration, adaptation, and new ways of putting down roots.
In the video, Daniela Brasil discusses the ideas behind her project, her personal connection to the topic, and the “migrant” plants that bring this unique art-nature-life laboratory to life. 🌿
