Kaeshmaesh versteht sich als Projektraum zur Förderung von diversen zeitgenössischen, künstlerischen Produktionen. Ausstellungen, Artist Talks, Konzerte, Filmscreenings und Publikationspräsentationen sollen dazu beitragen, das kulturelle Leben in der unmittelbaren Umgebung zu bereichern. Insbesondere junge Kunstschaffende sollen durch periodisch wechselnde Ausstellungen gefördert werden, wobei Wer

t auf eine hohe künstlerische Qualität der gezeigten Arbeiten gelegt wird. Wir sind ein unabhängiger und gemeinnütziger Verein, der nicht von Institutionen beeinflusst wird und somit auch die Sichtbarmachung von diversen Randpositionen fördern kann. Das Kollektiv besteht aus Kunstschaffenden, Kunsttheoretiker_innen und Personen, die fernab dieser festgefahrenen Zuschreibungen agieren. Unser Ziel ist es, einen Raum abseits des Kunstmarkts zu etablieren, der sowohl junge Kunst fördert, sowie das umliegende Grätzl mit kulturellen Veranstaltungen belebt. Kaeshmaesh is a project that promotes different, contemporary art forms in order to enrich the cultural life in the immediate neighbourhood in the second district by providing space for exhibitions, artist talks, concerts, film screenings and lectures. Young and creative minds show their high-qualitative works in regularily changing exhibitions. As we are an independent, non-profit organization and not influenced by any institution, we are in a position that allows us, to raise awareness for a number of marginal positions. The collective consists of artists, art theorists and persons who act beyond established structures. Our goal is to provide an art space, that is independent of the market, supports young creative minds and brings cultural activities into the surrounding area.
