Meet the author! ๐Ÿ“šโœจJacyln Moriarty

Join us for an evening of online discussion with Jaclyn Moriarty as Ben Hobson hosts an interactive conversation about this incandescent latest novel - and everyone is invited to join in!

On a bustling Sydney road sits a nondescript storefront known simply as the Time Travel Agency, where visitors are greeted with coffee, baked goods, and the ultimate question: Where in time do you wish to go? While the guidelines seem simple - visit Jane Austen, see the Olympics in ancient Greece, or revisit your own past - visitors are left wondering if it's a hoax, and if it's real, what the catch is. When single mother Anna lands a job at the agency, she glimpses a chance at happiness, while customers Teddy and Jade grapple with imploded marriages, deep secrets, and the heavy weight of hope.

On This Day: Local History! ๐Ÿ›๏ธ๐Ÿ“œ
Step back to October 17, 1893, when Alburyโ€™s very first museum was officially established at 557 Dean Street, on the corner of what is now AMP Lane.

Created 'for the scientific and cultural education of Albury citizens,' the museum's first accession register was packed with a wonderfully eclectic mix of geological, botanical, and zoological specimens - including minerals, birds, wools, shells, food substances, fibres, barks, medicinal products, tans, oil seeds, insects, and spices.

While many items were locally relevant, Albury residents also donated fascinating treasures collected during travels across Australia and overseas. Just a few months after opening, the Border Post recorded quirky and remarkable donations such as fossils, a gold watch over 200 years old, snakes, a hair ball from the stomach of a pig, sea horses, sapphires, and even a block of granite!

On This Day: Local Education History! ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿซ
Step back in time to October 16, 1865! On this day, the Black Range School opened its doors with just 27 pupils on the northwest corner of Prune and Murphy streets.

The school later moved to its present site in 1882 and eventually became known as Lavington Public School - a cornerstone of the local community that many of us know and love today!

Pictured here are Lavington Public School students back in 1920. Who knows - could one of these bright-eyed students be a relative of yours?

Looking for your next great read? ๐Ÿ“šโœจ

From Bonnie Garmus, the bestselling author of Lessons in Chemistry, comes a brilliant, funny, and unforgettable new novel: Peck & Peck.

Itโ€™s 1982 in New York City. Recent college grad Batter Gray is stuck folding T-shirts at the Gap with an 'ear' for poetry and zero prospects - until he lands a dream job at Peck & Peck, the world's most prestigious, secretive, and utterly dysfunctional poetry journal. Soon, he's knee-deep in a secret war between the twin Editors-in-Chief, surrounded by 39 eccentric editors whose motto is simple: Find originality. Reward creativity. Burn the rest. (And by burn, they mean incinerate ๐Ÿ”ฅ).

Ready to dive into the literary fast lane?

๐ŸŒŸGood news: The new novel by Bonnie Garmus is available now on Libby as an eBook! Best of all? No waiting, no holds. ๐Ÿ“ฑ๐ŸŽง
