After forming in 1988, the Artisans’ Guild didn’t yet have a permanent space — so our members brought their creativity out into the community.

This photo captures a Guild display at the St Michael’s Church fete — a forerunner to what would later become the much-loved Abbey Medieval Festival. Tables were filled with handcrafted pieces, and members shared not just their work, but their skills, stories, and passion with the public.

Pictured here are Iska Gruber (left) and Bernard Bush (right). The gentleman in the centre remains unknown — a small mystery in our rich and growing history. ✨

From humble beginnings to a thriving creative community — this is where it all started.

How could you not adopt such an appealing little creature?

This beautiful handmade piece was created by Guild member Libby, who patiently and meticulously crafts her wonderfully inspired cats and dogs — now ready for adoption in our shop.

Libby first conceived this idea while living in Geraldine, New Zealand, and has continued to bring these charming creations to life ever since.

Our members create an incredible range of work, and this is just one glimpse of the talent within the Guild.

Find her work at our shop in Caboolture Square Shopping Centre.
