Greetings to all you Challenge Gadget fans out there. You'll have to be super quick today as I have picked an easy gadget for you. By easy, I mean if you are a bit old in the tooth like me as I'm sure most young people wouldn't have a clue what this gadget is for.

Hello to all you Challenge Gadget fans out there in the ether. I hope you all have had a great week and are now looking forward to solving the latest mystery.

The only rule in winning bragging rights for the week is to be the first person with the correct name or to tell me what the gadget is used for. To be honest I don't really know what the technical name actually is, but I have been told what it is used for.

Best of luck everybody though as you are all a cluey lot, I don't think we'll be waiting too long for the correct answer. Peter

The Clifton Museum received a visit from a couple of local schools today. Students and staff from Greenmount State School and Back Plains State School. The students kept the Museum volunteers busy with lots of great questions. I believe the students enjoyed their visit.

Greetings to all you Challenge Gadget fans out there. I hope you have all rested up since the last Gadget quiz and are now ready for another toughy. Like last week's gadget, if you have been to the museum you may have seen today's item while you ventured around our largish collection of artifacts.

To win bragging rights for the week you have to be the first person in with the correct name for this gadget. Best of luck everybody, I think you're going to need it. To help you all out, I think this gadget is around 7 feet or so tall.

Who out there remember CATS? I'm not talking about the animal or the Broadway musical.

In the 1980's we had the Clifton Amateur Theatrical Society and in my opinion they put on some fantastic plays. Everyone involved, on the stage and behind, were all locals that brightened the lives of the audiences that attended their events. I believe all the plays were written by locals. Although forty years later I meet many members of the CATS crew working or strolling around in the area today and it always brings back fond memories.

CATS was not the first or only amateur theatrical group in the Clifton area. I can remember going to the Pilton Soldier's Memorial Hall to watch a show put on by mainly Pilton residents as a part of ANZAC Day. It was an entertaining night made up of a variety of sketches all relating to World War 1. The performers ranged from primary school age up to adults. I know that the Pilton residents have now put on a few of these shows, and I believe they are usually on around ANZAC Day though I'm not 100% sure of this fact.

The Museum has a record of the Clifton Amateur Dramatic Club dating back to the early 1900's so I'm assuming that this group may have been the first theatrical group locally. This club put on a performance to raise funds for the local Brass Band. I don't know if they put on other plays, maybe some of you readers can enlighten the rest of us if you have relatives that were involved with the CADC.

As a lot of you will know, from the lack of stories recently, I've been out of action however, touch wood, that is now in the past. I went through the museum the other day and discovered that there are a few new exhibits on display that weren't there a month ago. If you have not visited the museum for some time, you should check it out again as you may have missed some interesting additions to our collection. For the low fee of $5.00 per adult, you could spend hours looking through all the wonderful things on display. The Clifton Museum is open Friday to Monday from 10am to 2pm. Children are welcome, but we ask that they be accompanied by an adult. Peter

Greeting to the many Challenge Gadget fans out there. I'm back home, touch wood permanently, and I'm sure today's gadget is sure to trick you up. For those of you who have visited the Museum and have had a good look around the place, you may not have a problem with the gadget. For those of you that use Google Photos, I'm not sure it is going to help you, but I could be wrong. Have a go and prove me wrong.

To win bragging rights for the week, you have to be the first one with the correct answer. Today's gadget has a specific use and I'll only accept that use. Size wise I think it is roughly four foot tall, give or take.

We've had a request from a lady looking for photos of Clifton and district Lighthorse regiments, medals for both men and horses, group of horses in the Light Horse, grave sites of the men and of horses pulling the big guns. Basically everything involving the Light Horse.

The reason for this request is that she wants to create a horse rug that honours the Light Horse and Light Horse Soldiers. She intends to put this rug on her Whaler horse in parades.

She is also after the hat and boots that she could borrow for the parade or a photo. If you are able to help in any way please let us know. Thank you. Peter

It's a couple of weeks late but here is proof of some happy customers of our sausage sizzle from the last Clifton Markets. The crew always cook up a storm and some people keep coming back for more which shows we must be doing something right. Peter

Sorry to all the Challenge Gadget fans out there for not posting last night but I'm still at my sister's place recuperating and don't have any photos on my computer to use other than ones I've used over the past year. At this stage I'm hoping to be back home in roughly 2 weeks, the enormous blood blister on my heel has reduced considerably, so hopefully things will be back to normal in 2 weeks. Peter

Who is ready for the Challenge Gadget today? Isn't modern technology great? I'm doing this from my sister's place, as I'm dealing with a few issues from my recent fall but thanks to Barrie coming through with a few gadgets last weekend the show can continue.

Basically, the only rule to win this challenge is, you have to be first person to answer correctly what the gadget is. Best of luck to everybody. I think Barrie may have you stumped today. Peter
