‘Wall of Magic Creatures’ is an interactive installation by artist Kate Beynon. Since February 2026, gallery visitors have interacted with a wall of fantastic soft sculpture figures through playful rearrangement.

Inspired by supernatural tales and the Lunar zodiac, the installation encourages imaginative design, exploration and connection. 'Wall of Magic Creatures has the potential to constantly transform through rearranging a multitude of patterns, colour combinations and forms, where wild, weird and wonderful characters might emerge.' - Kate Beynon

'Wall of Magic Creatures' is on until Saturday 12 December at Town Hall Gallery's Creative Playground.

Due to popular demand, we are open additional hours:
Sunday 11 October, 12 to 4 pm
Sunday 18 October, 12 to 4 pm

Our next community exhibition 'Thresholds' by Amy Dwight opens on Wednesday 7 October.

Amy Dwight reflects on personal loss and resilience, shaped by the passing of her father and brother and her own journey with illness. Through distorted photographs of nature, Dwight draws on metaphors of seasonal transformation through cycles of life, death and renewal. Combining images, poetry, and storytelling, Dwight shows how experiences of grief can connect and unite us.

Join us for the official opening on Saturday 10 October, 2 to 4 pm. For more information, visit our website.
