Tomorrow is AusArt Day, a nationwide fundraising initiative bringing people together to support Australia’s artists and arts organisations and the creative experiences they make possible.

McClelland is more than a place to see art. It’s a place to wander, discover, connect, learn, create and spend time together.

Every sculpture in the landscape, every exhibition, workshop, performance, event and unexpected moment is part of what makes McClelland special.

There are just two more weekends to experience, Christopher Pyett: Years of Colour at McClelland, with the final day on Sunday 25 October.

Created over the past five years, these abstract paintings reveal Pyett’s extraordinary sensitivity to the rhythm, relationships and character of colour, shaped by his unparalleled knowledge of colour theory.

With an exhibition history spanning more than six decades, Pyett continues to paint every day in his Pearcedale studio. His practice is disciplined and meditative, but always driven by curiosity, experimentation and a desire to explore what colour can do.

Don’t miss your chance to see this remarkable collection of works by one of Australia’s most senior and accomplished abstract painters.

Market season is back!

We’re so excited to welcome the wonderful crew from the McClelland Makers Market back amongst the sculptures at McClelland on Saturday 31 October!

Bring the kids, bring the family, bring the dog! Yes, we’re dog-friendly too, please just make sure your furry friend stays on a lead.

Come along and discover an incredible mix of local makers, designers, delicious food and drinks, plus live music and entertainment for the kids.

It’s the perfect way to spend a spring Saturday at McClelland, wander amongst the sculptures, browse the stalls, grab something delicious and enjoy a day out together.

Only a few weeks to go!

Don’t miss your chance to experience Frankston local Alison Tedesco’s wonderful exhibition, Street Stories, before it closes on 25 October at McClelland.

Take your time and get up close to Alison’s incredibly detailed miniatures. There’s so much to discover in the tiny details, from weathered buildings and peeling paint, graffiti to the traces of stories and lives that have passed through these places.

Look closely and you might spot something you didn’t notice at first…

Come and wander through Street Stories, take in the details, and see these familiar and forgotten places through Alison’s eyes.
