The incredible Annette Kellerman was a swimming star, vaudeville sensation who dived into a tank of crocodiles; invented the one piece swimming swimsuit and got arrested for it. She nearly was the first women to swim the English Channel and was a fitness guru as well as an entrepreneur. Starred in several south seas silent films and truely is an Australian icon.

The story of the Kelly Gang 1906 Australian silent film directed by Charles Tait was the world’s first feature length film. Ned Kelly was a mythological figure and bushranger films became an extremely popular genre for Australian audiences. These postcards were produced the following year 1907 off the back of the films huge success.
