Please email for details. Normal opening hours: Saturdays and Sundays from 12.00pm to 3.00pm or by appointment.

Fashion in the early Victorian Era

11am Saturday 27 June
at the V&A Guesthouse
Station St, Mount Victoria

Museum member Trudi Cooper will present a talk and demonstration of getting dressed in middle-class ladies’ fashion in the 1830s, 1840s and 1850s. How did changes in society affect and dictate changes in ladies’ fashion? How was the fashion silhouette of each different era created? Come along and find out!

After the presentation enjoy lunch or coffee at the V&A before visiting the museum, only a two minute walk away. View a display of Early Victorian fashion and explore our wonderful museum – two floors of amazing local history, housed in the historic 1868

Saturday 6th June the PICNIC TRAIN is coming, "choose your destination: Katoomba—home to Scenic World & Railway, the steepest railway in ther world, sweeping lookouts, boutique shops and charming cafes—or Mount Victoria, known for its historic pubs, cozy cafes and village atmosphere. A perfect day trip for rail enthusiasts, photographers and anyone who loves classic travel and mountain scenery."

The museum will be open midday to 3pm both Saturday and Sunday for the King's Birthday Long Weekend.

Our POP-UP display "THE MOUNTAIN ROAD BUILDERS - CONVICTS & SURVEYORS" now on show at the Katoomba Library, Blue Mountains Cultural Centre, Parke St, Katoomba. Moving to Springwood Library in September.

Jeepers, with all our recent emails about our amazing NEW Newsletter and email address change techno talk, we forgot to wish you all seasonal greetings. Eek. Happy MMXXVI from the committee and members.

PS the scaffolding is off and we now have new slate and corrugated iron roof. Reopening on 10th January unless there is popular demand for 3rd January (phone, message, text, email or carrier pigeon).
