📢 Expressions of Interest Now Open!

💙 Share in the Success of the 13th Annual Shoalhaven Business Chamber & Macey Insurance Brokers Charity Golf Day

Are you part of a local charity, not-for-profit, community organisation, or social service making a positive difference in the Shoalhaven?

Do you know an organisation that could benefit from additional funding and community support?

We are now inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from organisations wishing to be considered as beneficiaries of the 2026 Charity Golf Day, to be held on Friday, 20 November 2026 at Shoalhaven Heads Golf Club.

Since 2013, this event has raised more than $180,000 for local charities and community organisations, helping make a real difference across our region.

✅ Local charities and community groups encouraged to apply
✅ Opportunity to raise awareness of your organisation
✅ Funding to support local programs and services

📅 Applications close 5.00pm, Friday 16 August 2026

To apply, you'll need to provide:
• Charity name and ACNC number (if applicable)
• Information about your organisation and its impact
• How funds raised would be used in the Shoalhaven
• Confirmation of your commitment to supporting the event

MEMBER SPOTLIGHT

A warm Shoalhaven Business Chamber welcome to our newest member — The Control Room!

Currently in development, The Control Room is an exciting new tech playground and community space being created right here in the Shoalhaven — designed to bring people together through gaming, technology, immersive experiences and connection.

Far more than a traditional gaming venue, The Control Room will combine PC and console gaming, VR adventures, STEM and robotics classes, tournaments, workshops, parties, social programs and themed interactive experiences all under one roof.

Created with teens, families, young adults, seniors and community groups in mind, the vision behind The Control Room is simple: to create a welcoming and inclusive space where people can play, learn, create and belong.

Founder Nichole says the idea grew from recognising a gap in the Shoalhaven for more exciting, modern and accessible activities and social spaces — particularly for teens and young adults.

“The Shoalhaven has such a strong sense of community and people genuinely support local businesses. We wanted to create something that gives people another reason to connect, socialise and stay local.”

What makes The Control Room unique is its blend of entertainment, creativity, education and community connection. By bringing together gaming, VR, STEM learning and social experiences in one immersive environment, the team is aiming to deliver something unlike anything currently available in the region.

As development progresses, The Control Room will be sharing sneak peeks, launch updates, community events and more — and we can already tell this is going to be something very special for the Shoalhaven.

Not every weekday morning involves national television cameras, vineyard views and alpacas!

This week, Channel 7’s Sunrise broadcast live from Chamber member Silos Estate in Berry, showcasing one of the Shoalhaven’s most iconic tourism destinations to audiences across Australia.

With rolling mist across the vines and the beauty of Berry on full display, it was a wonderful opportunity to highlight not only Silos Estate but the incredible experiences our region offers visitors year-round.

Congratulations to the team Silos Estate for hosting such a fantastic broadcast and for continuing to showcase the very best of the Shoalhaven.

A warm Shoalhaven Business Chamber welcome to one of our incredible community organisations — Triple U FM!

Broadcasting across the South Coast since the late 1980s, Triple U FM is the Shoalhaven’s local community radio station — proudly volunteer-run and deeply connected to the people, stories and music of our region.

From local news, interviews and live music to youth programs, podcasts and community storytelling, Triple U plays an important role in keeping our region informed, entertained and connected. Their programming showcases everything from emerging Shoalhaven musicians and local events through to important community conversations and grassroots voices.

What we love most about Triple U is their genuine commitment to the community.
