Penguin Creek Gallery was launched in early 2017 by locals Anna & Ross Murphy, who had a vision to provide a platform for contemporary fine art on the northwest coast of Tasmania. Situated at the entrance to the quaint, little seaside town of Penguin, they have breathed new life into an old hardware store at an historic site alongside Penguin Creek. Offering a wide range of art in various mediums
from paintings, photography and ceramics to sculpture, wood work and textiles, Penguin Creek Gallery showcases renowned Tasmanian creatives and established artists alongside undiscovered, emerging talent. Penguin Creek Gallery also has a cafe onsite, offering coffee and cake, with indoor and outdoor seating, all overlooking the beautiful, ever changing seas of Bass Strait. Director, Anna Murphy claims the gallery cafe "is all about connecting people, art and concepts in a friendly and inviting atmosphere."
