This year, 22 local artists across 20 studios are opening their doors, giving you the chance to meet the artists, see where the magic happens and discover an incredible variety of original art.

And remember, you don’t need to follow the studios in numerical order. Pick your favourites, grab the map and create your own art-filled day around Toowoomba.

The Toowoomba Studio Art Trail starts today and I’m so excited to welcome you into Studio Fifty Three.

Come through the door, explore my latest work, discover a little more about the magic of encaustic wax, and enjoy a peek inside the space where it all happens.

✨ Discover the magic of encaustic wax at Studio No. 20! ✨

Have you ever wondered how you paint with hot molten wax?

Come and visit me during the Toowoomba Studio Art Trail and discover the fascinating world of encaustic painting, an ancient technique using beeswax, pigment and heat.

I’ll have a video playing in the studio showing the process of melting, layering and fusing the wax, so you can see how these wonderfully textured and luminous artworks come to life.

Then explore the finished pieces up close, wander through my working studio, ask questions and discover why I fell in love with this beautiful and unusual medium.

🐝 It’s more than visiting an art studio, it’s a chance to discover how the art is actually made.
