NHMA National Tractor Convention. 4th 5th & 6th September 2026 at the Gulgong Showground.

Members of the Heritage Village, travelled to Gulgong, with their beautifully restored vintage tractors.

On Friday arvo, a big bunch of tractors explored the district around Gulgong.

They, everyone gathered then enjoyed a delicious dinner, and catch up with friends, at the showground.

Today, 50 tractors joined the Trek to journey more than 100ks across the green countryside.

Tonight we are heading to dinner, an auction and entertainment. Great times being had by all.

Vintage Rail Journeys tour of the Heritage Village.

Two coaches arrived with 90 guests, to explore our extensive heritage collection.

Sue Nichols baked fresh scones with jam & cream, to be enjoyed in the garden with a cuppa.

Guests relaxed in the spring sunshine and were entertained with country music and melodic guitar.

Norm Mitchells Train World attracted many and the Miniature Trains were buzzing around the track.

Memories of the good old days was a popular topic and many people wandered around the 13 acres of memorabilia.

Ced Grayson gave demonstrations on the antique, hand turned, corn sheller.

Gary Nichols beautifully restored FJ model (commonly known as the dog tooth Holden) Holden sedan was a magnet for car enthusiasts.

What a wonderful collection of photos, honouring past and present members of the Heritage Village committee. More volunteers are needed to keep it running and also maintaining all the exhibits, can you give an hour or two a month to help out.

Many of the districts families have been lifelong members, tireless workers & strong advocates for preserving the heritage of the Liverpool Plains. Quirindi Lions Club have always been very supportive of the Heritage Village. Some 22 years ago it was at a Lions meeting with the late Graham Clark as President, that the suggestion came up that there should be something done about preserving the historical items of the district which were leaving through clearing sales and scrap metal merchants.
A public meeting was then called by Liverpool Plains Shire Council and the Quirindi Lions, together with other interested members of the community, Quirindi Rural Heritage Village was born.
Like “Topsy” it has grown since then to become the premier tourist attraction for Quirindi and the Lions continue to support it by feeding the multitude at the annual rally, but also by individual membership.
If anyone is interested in either joining and assisting the Heritage Village or the Lions Club please contact Beryl Mannion 67461479 or 0428161479. Your assistance will be very much appreciated.
