HOMESCHOOLERS ART STUDIO & CLASSES
I'm always bowled over with the originality of the Homeschool group and how well they work together, socialising, building friendships, and bouncing ideas around.

It's also an opportunity for Gabby, currently the oldest in the group, to plan and 'road test' potential holiday workshops in the group. Here's a few marvellous creations, with thanks to Gabby, Hope, Matilda, Sophia & Lucia!

"COUNTRY ROAD, TAKE ME HOME..." by Liz Coughlan 🧑‍🎨🎨🖼️

This lovely painting was created at our Adult Art Class (Watercolour Group), and inspired by one of Liz's own photos.
In fact, this is a second version of the same image created by Liz, with the first in acrylics in 2024.

The beauty of acrylics is that if you're "pernickety", as Liz describes herself, you can keep daubing forever more, building the layers, whereas with watercolour, the key is less is more to retain the light.
I think Liz has managed both mediums successfully, not to mention her beautiful reference image!

This is the FIRST painting in acrylics that Mary created at Adult Art Class at Victoria Hall Scone, and since you can't keep a good artist down, Mary has already started on her next work featuring those lovely blue hills surrounding Scone!
