Wonderful sunshine! Great for the soul! Birdlife Australia says bird watching is making a big comeback - young and old enjoying it as a quiet, relaxing and tech free activity! Our local photographer Maureen has captured a beautiful photo recently of The Albert’s Lyrebird which our cafe is named after! Lots of Maureen’s wonderful wildlife cards are available at the gallery for just $5!!

Beautiful sunny day up here today! Plenty of water in the waterfalls! Great weather for a walk followed by a coffee and snack in front of the fire or on the verandah - it’s a bit chilly but beautiful!! Thanks to all the lovely people who came to Community Cuppa yesterday - it was a great morning of happy cheerful chatter and the opportunity to meet a few new people or catch up with old friends was enjoyed by all!!

A bit of excitement last Monday with the heavy rain and drains blocking up! The water nearly came into the front door but with a bit of teamwork all has been cleaned up and back to normal …… even though it’s now cold and windy! Fire is on and the place is looking great after a bit of stock and art rotation …….. open until 4pm today and then 9am-4pm tomorrow until Tuesday! 😊

We are open today until 4pm. It’s a great day for looking at the waterfalls followed by a coffee and snack in front of the fire and checking out some of the new artworks ……. and maybe even spotting a bit of wildlife!

It was nice to meet Graeme Macdonald yesterday when he visited us to check out our new guest artist exhibition……… Graeme is one of the four artists being featured this month. Enjoy great food, coffee and friendly service when you pop in to check it out! 😊

This months Guest Artist Exhibition is a collaborative exhibition from 4 local artists with an amazing variety of mediums and styles. From landscape oil paintings and pencil sketches to abstract watercolours and Lino prints. Running until the 7th of June, make sure you pop in and check it out!
