Maitland Rail Museum

We’ve still got merchandise available!

Stock of our Maitland Rail Museum pens and enamel mugs are very limited, as are the 10 Class Loco coasters.

One of our museum members has also made a number of clocks and a one-off weather station from locally sourced timber rail sleepers. The splits and cracks within the timber pieces are natural, and finished sides have been hand sanded and a matte lacquer has been applied.

A variety of different sizes are available, all clocks are battery operated (AA or N size batteries required).

A donation from the sale of each clock or weather station sold will be made to Maitland Rail Museum.

Eftpos is available but cash is preferred!

We were visited by one of SMR’s former employees at our last open day, Brad Dorn.

Brad’s family have a long history with SMR, with both Brad’s father Bruce and uncle Kenny also working at SMR.

Brad bought along many photos to share with us, here’s just a couple of Bruce.
