Magpie Springs has long supported artistic activity on its working farm/vineyard property at Willunga Hill (Fleurieu Peninsula / southern Adelaide Hills), South Australia.

Artists have used the site for painting, drawing, photography, and film because it is a genuine working farm with vineyards, gardens, dams, rustic buildings, and varied natural subject matter. The onsite Art Gallery has hosted national, international, and local exhibitions of original works (paintings, drawings, sculpture, photography).

Its lovely when artists remember and remind us of previous shows.

Artists have come across the world to paint/draw/photograph and film at Magpie Springs because we are a real farm - there is no end of material onsite.

🌿🎨📸 Calling all painters, drawers & photographers!
Do you love creating outdoors and already have your own kit?

Come and spend a relaxed day plein-air painting, drawing or photographing at Magpie Springs. Bring a friend (or a few), pack a picnic, and settle in among the vines, gardens and dams. The subject matter is everywhere you look. We have w**e, coffee and (very importantly) a loo on site.

Many groups have done this over the years – both weekends and mid-week. Because the property is also used for other events, we just need to find a suitable date and time that works. Call us to discuss - 85567351

Magpie Springs has been quite the hub for artists of all genres over the years. Recently we’ve welcomed two Fleurieu Biennale finalists - lovely visits from local creatives including and – She reminded us how special these days are.

The weather is finally warming up and conditions are ideal again. This is not a class – just space, time and inspiration for you to create at your own pace.

Not for our prebooked W**e Tasting Experience which we have every Saturday and Sunday ( that includes a platter) - but you can still have our boutique (only available here) estate grown w**e + see the exhibition in the Art Gallery or maybe even a coffee.
